Company History
Disaster Response Solutions is a non-profit company located in Jacksonville, Florida.
Established in 2010, the company was founded by Fred Hassan, an accomplished professional in the recreational vehicle and temporary housing industry.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Fred Hassan's unique and innovative idea of supplying modular housing to areas effected by natural disasters has come to fruition.
Before the concept of Disaster Response Solutions, Hassan's company Suncoast was able to supply thousands of travel trailers and motor homes, along with related support services, to FEMA for multiple disaster relief initiatives.

The Company combines more than 25 years of industry experience in the RV industry in the areas of procurement, operations management, delivery and deployment, service and storage, and sales and disposal. Previous FEMA contracts:
2005 Disaster Relief: Supplied and delivered travel trailers and rental motor homes to FEMA collection sites under three contracts with a total value of approximately $5 million. See DHS/FEMA Contract No. HSFEHQ-05-P-4255 (Helen Housand, Contracting Officer); DHS/FEMA Contract No. HSFEHQ-05-P-4489 (Helen Housand, Contracting Officer); and FEMA/GSA Contract No. HSFEHQ-04-06-P-7977 (Jannetta Sheinall, Contracting Officer). Similarly, Ameri-Camp manufactured and delivered approximately 500 travel trailers for orders placed by dealers to satisfy FEMA’s specified requirements during the 2005 hurricane disasters.
2004 Disaster Relief: Supplied and delivered 3,000 travel trailers to the FEMA collection site under Contract No. HSFE04-04-D-4059 (Bryan McCreary, FEMA/GSA Contracting Officer). Notably, we utilized our long-standing business relationship with a major manufacturing parent company to arrange for dedicated production lines to meet FEMA’s urgent requirements.
2001 Hurricane Relief: Supplied and delivered travel trailers and rental motor homes to the FEMA collection site.
2000 San Antonio Flood Relief: Supplied and delivered approximately 500 travel trailers to the flood zone, performed post-delivery maintenance checks, resolved vendor part failures, and maintained units as requested by FEMA.
